That's right... I just got my promotion letter in the mail- it's "official" on 1 October. Heck, I'm not active duty anymore, and it's not like I'll be seeing a pay increase or anything (more of "nothing" is still nothing since I'm inactive)... but it's still something I always wanted, so in keeping with tradition, virtual drinks are on me!!!!
Went to a Japanese Steakhouse- the food wasn't great, but the chef kept squirting sake in my mouth, so I was happy! :-)

Modern "science" automatically black-lists anyone who even dares question a theory, or proposes to submit more data... End result? The American people, and the world, are not given the full picture- and thus true science is not taking place, and again we find the education system and countless minds manipulated and subsequently closed to reasonable discussion.
This is liberalism invading the classroom with their communist dictatorship, creating sheep- more prone to just swallow what the teachers tell them and resent anything different (contrary to the ficticious "open-mind" associated with them), than to question and explore. We've seen that elsewhere too haven't we?

Good Rant on Leadership on Blackfive

To see what our soldiers are facing makes me angry. Where is the support they need? It's certainly not in congress, heck, even some military leadership if this is happening! I'm not saying all leadership is bad. I know that there are bound to be bad people in all sorts of place, but the military of all places should not have as many worries because every branch has an Honor Code and everyone takes an oath. That should count for something... but learning what honor and integrity are and living it are two different things.
I tried to post the following in comments but got an error message so here it is:
It's a sad day when I feel I have to confess to being a former officer(please don't hold it against me, lol). It was in my blood to join, and I knew how things should be, so one of my first lines to "my" MSgt when I, a Lt, reported in was, "I'm not one of the know-it-alls so your job is to keep me from screwing up. You're the one with the experience, so teach me and I'll listen."We got along just fine the next couple years and he had my back all the way- including when I stood up to the corrupt new SES who was appointed to "run things"
To make a long story short, my IG complaint got swept under the rug, the SES replaced me with an old Lt Col friend of his, I got "force-shaped," and my MSgt retired soon after. That's what I got for not being a "yes man" and trying to always do the right thing. I'd have transferred into the Army in a heartbeat, but the moldy basement office I had been working in gave me lung problems... (I'm doing fine on meds now though thanks to the VA (finally)- I'm not quite back up to a 6 min mile, but 8 isn't bad for not being able to run till recently). After I left, the basement got new carpet, new ceiling tiles, a fresh coat of paint, and turned into a little-used "training room."
So, now I sit in a cube doing something similar... not bad, it's fairly rewarding considering...but 3 years is not the 20-30 yr military career I dreamed of. I know God has a plan, but I really hate seeing corruption eat away at our country. It royally ticks me off to see the military, the honor of America, the gung-ho spirit of freedom, dragged around and dogged by filthy corrupt politicians who care nothing for honor. I won't call the whole officer corps bad, though there are quite a lot of decent people, who, like the "moderate muslims," keep their mouths shut and allow bad things to keep happening to good people so they don't get their hands dirty.
Can't blame them TOO much- after all, they have spouses and kids to feed (actually had a capt say that when he said what was happening to me was wrong "but... he couldn't speak up").but there comes a time when enough is enough and you have to put it on the line and make a stand against scum before everything this country is supposed to stand for gets sold off out from under us!I know a lot of good, honorable, men and women who were "let go" in the middle of the war, just to make some politicians happy.
We are the ones here in the states, joining the older vets in watching and waiting for the politicians to give this country over to the enemy, and we will fight back when they launch their insurgency on U.S. soil because though our terms of service expire our oaths to "protect and defend" NEVER do.

Communist Goals 1963=Democrat Goals Today
I read this in "What Went Wrong in America and How to Fix it" available on World Net Daily and meant to type it out for my blog, but Atlas did the dirty work for me! :-)
On Jan. 10, 1963, Congressman Albert S. Herlong Jr. of Florida read a list of 45 Communist goals into the Congressional Record. The list was derived from researcher Cleon Skousen’s book “The Naked Communist.” These principles are well worth revisiting today in order to gain insights into the thinking and strategies of much of our so-called liberal elite.
1. U.S. should accept coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. should be willing to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the U.S. would be a demonstration of "moral strength."
The nuclear freeze advocates supported a freeze on American nuclear development only. Rarely were Soviet nukes or those of other nations mentioned in their self-righteous tirades. The same advocates now call for reducing American military might, claiming that there is something immoral about America preserving its military pre-eminence in the world.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
Today, there are calls to end the embargo on the slave island of Cuba, there were complaints about the embargo against Iraq, and the U.S., not Saddam Hussein, was blamed for the suffering of the Iraqi people. Would they have advocated for free trade with Hitler and his National Socialist regime? (note: China has "Most Favored Nation" status with us)
5. Extend long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
Such aid and trade over decades contributed greatly to the left-wing communist liquidation of over 100 million people worldwide, according to the well-documented "Black Book of Communism."
This aid and trade marks a shameful chapter in American history. Without the aid and trade, the left-wing international communist behemoth would have imploded on its own rot a lot sooner and umpteen millions would have been saved from poverty, misery, starvation and death.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the U.S. has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.
There are still American intellectuals, and elected members of Congress, who dream of an eventual one world government and who view the U.N., founded by communists such as Alger Hiss, the first secretary-general, as the instrument to bring this about.
World government was also the dream of Adolf Hitler and J.V. Stalin. World government was the dream of Osama bin Laden and the 9/11 hijackers.
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

In his book, Schweizer writes about the presidential election of 1979. (note: fast forward- why are the Republican "front-runners" pushed by the media? Why do they have shady pasts? Why are the candidates with REAL integrity (Tancred, Hunter) shunned?)
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
This strategy goes back to the founding of the American Civil Liberties Union by Fabian Socialists Roger Baldwin and John Dewey and Communists William Z. Foster and Elizabeth Gurley Flynn among others. (note: pretty much every major case in the news)
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in textbooks. (note: self-evident, I don't even need a note here)
18. Gain control of all student newspapers. (note: "open-mindedness" "multiculturalism" and "PC" nonsense abound because that is what is drilled into students. They never had a chance!).
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations that are under Communist attack.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.

This is the Gramscian agenda of the "long march through the institutions" spelled out explicitly: gradual takeover of the "means of communication" and then using those vehicles to debauch the culture and weaken the will of the individual to resist. 27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."
This has been largely accomplished through the communist infiltration of the National Council of Churches, Conservative and Reform Judaism, and the Catholic seminaries. (note: The gov't has special controls, regulations, and codes, over most churches.).
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state"
Replacing belief in the creator with belief in the earthly man-controlled State.
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
And replace our nation of "laws, not men" with royal decree emanating from appointed judges and executive orders. Replace elected officials with bureaucrats.

(note: Lafayette is erased from the history books, despite being George Washington's right hand man and pretty much adopted son! ALL FOR LOVE OF THE COMMMON MAN!)
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of "the big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture – education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

Back on Aug. 9, I told you about the case of Christy Freeman, an Ocean City, Md., mother suspected of killing her newborn, or possibly unborn, baby in 2004 along with three others.
The remains of the children were all found at her home last month.
At first, investigators didn't know what to charge her with. Finally, they decided murder was the appropriate crime.
But, though the bodies of these victims were found in her possession, how could it be proved she killed them after birth? That was the question. If she killed them one minute before they were born, she was home free because Maryland, like many other states, expressly protects women who murder their own unborn children for any reason or no reason at all.

Police searched her home for the baby and found a recently deceased infant under the bathroom sink. They also found three more sets of older baby remains, two in a trunk in the living room and one in a recreational vehicle parked outside the house of horrors.
When an examination found the fresh remains were from a stillborn, prosecutors dismissed murder charges. But they also charged her with killing one of the other children found in the trunk. Investigators believe she gave birth to twins on a toilet in 2004 and allowed one of them to die.
But now that charge, too, has been thrown out.
No crime, no punishment. Presumably, Freeman will be permitted to play devoted mother to the four surviving children.
The case hasn't received much publicity outside the area. No wonder. I don't think most journalists know what to make of such a case. After all, there weren't supposed to be people like Freeman anymore – not after abortion was made "safe and legal." Contraception was supposed to free women of unwanted pregnancies, and taxpayer-subsidized abortions were supposed to ensure that messiness like this would never be necessary.
Yet, here it is – staring us in the face.
There's a slight chance you might see Freeman's face flashed on the news. But there's no chance you will ever see the gruesome images of those four little ones whose lives were snuffed out.
And that's why it remains so easy for America to tolerate this national crime, this national shame, this national sin known as abortion on demand.
As I wrote last month about this case: "God knows what possessed Freeman to do what she did. Men and women have always done evil things and always will. It's their nature. And that is why government has a responsibility to rein in the worst of man's excesses – to keep us, at a minimum, from killing one another, to protect the innocent."
I also wrote: "It will be interesting if it turns out that no crime was committed. It's quite possible that four dead babies in your house is nothing more than, say, a health code violation, thanks to Roe v. Wade."
About this, I was wrong. It's not even a health-code violation. It's not even a reason to remove children from your care.
It's simply a non-event.

Prophesied Destruction of Damascus Imminent? VX and Sarin=BAD!

If Syria and Iran are playing with VX and Sarin, it does not bode well for anyone there. For those of you who remember The Rock, exposure to these things has got to be one of the worst ways to die. News of someone making it, much less intending to use it, should scare the world into action... Especially since Sarin has a relatively short shelf-life of weeks, thus if you're making it, you're probably intending to use it pretty soon. VX is more persistant (meaning it lasts longer) and just as lethal.
For those who don't remember/aren't familiar with this nasty stuff, here's some info from wikipedia:
Initial symptoms following exposure to sarin are a runny nose, tightness in the chest and constriction of the pupils. Soon after, the victim has difficulty breathing and experiences nausea and drooling. (not too bad so far, right...)
As the victim continues to lose control of bodily functions, he vomits, defecates and urinates. This phase is followed by twitching and jerking. Ultimately, the victim becomes comatose and suffocates in a series of convulsive spasms.
Sarin is a highly volatile liquid. Inhalation and absorption through the skin pose a great threat. Even vapour concentrations immediately penetrate the skin. People who absorb a nonlethal dose (remember even a small amount can be lethal) but do not receive immediate appropriate medical treatment may suffer permanent neurological damage.

Isn't that just lovely? So now they have to just release the illegals back on our population, rather than attempt to hold them to the same standards our citizen criminals are held to. Why do they get the kid glove treatment?
I'm glad Tancredo is working to fight this nonsense! PLEASE give this guy some more exposure! He needs to be elected!

Gathering of Eagles (Anti-Protest in DC) My Story and Pics
My coverage of the Gathering of Eagles really begins on my metro ride. I met a retired Air National Guard major who had a sign with the number of troops killed on it. He was from veterans for peace. He told me we had no business in Iraq and proceeded to brag about how he had actually been and stayed with a soldier standing guard at night, and then tell me he wasn't bragging. I explained we are at war with an ideology and that whatever the reasons behind us going into Iraq, removing a dictator who used WMDs on his own people was a good thing, and that for us to leave now would be a sign of weakness to encourage the enemy. There's no easy way out. He said just nuke the whole middle east, but there's no reason to have our troops over there getting picked off. At first I thought he was being sarcastic, so I was going to continue the discussion... he then told me again that we needed to drop nukes. I told him that if he said that to the people he was going to be standing with, they'd turn on him in a heartbeat! Anyway...
What a day it would be!
At 9AM on 15 September, 2007 thousands of patriots gathered at the National Mall today to rally in support of the troops. We heard moving songs from Americans with wonderful voices, and even heard from a Congressman whose son is in the Army.
The real stars of the show, however, were the Blue Stars and Gold Stars who gave their heartfelt stories of their family members serving in Iraq, or who served and gave the ultimate sacrifice so others could have freedom.
A leftist infiltrated our group and unfortunately had her anti-American sign taken away and torn up. I am a firm believer that this is a free country and you have the right to free speech, even if it's uninformed.However, I wish people would be more understanding of the poor old Vietnam Vets who have been through hell only to be spat upon. I have met many people who lost all of their friends winning a war, only to be turned upon by their country when politicians quit and as a result everything they fought for is lost, and the innocents they defended were slaughtered.
I managed to make my way through the crowd and hand her a slip of paper with www.thereligionofpeace.com on it. I hope she visits the site and learns what we are truly facing. I hope she learns of the "Perfect Day" scenario and the violent slaughter the islamists plan to unleash upon us... Of the hundreds of protesters I would later tell of that site, I hope at least a handful investigate and see how they have been misled. I'd like to take the time to note that she was quickly surrounded by our own security (Orange Shirts) for her protection until the park police could come. She was never in danger, and I doubt you could say the same of anyone who would have been crazy enough to venture into the leftists territory.
I ran into this guy, who as it turns out is a pastor turned activist (protest warrior), who wandered around throughout the day playing a parody of a terrorist, claiming to love the peace activists for making his job easy for him. His sign says, "Terrorist for Peace!"
Around noon we were going to make our way to the street, lining it on either side anticipating the arrival of a mass of protesters, any minute...but the protesters must have slept in because they did not show up until around 2. Some small groups came about an hour before then to invade our space. You can see Code Pink on the left here. As Code Pink was on "our turf" they had to make do with a patriot's sign behind them in the photos the news crews and others were taking. They sang a 60s protest song as they made their way to the other side of the street where I was standing with other flag waving patriots. An idea came to me and I ran around tapping my fellow Americans on their shoulders saying "Star Spangled Banner on my mark" and what started out with me and a handful of others swelled into at least 50 voices, raised together in solidarity to show that America still has a spirit of patriotism.Later, a Vietnam Veteran charged out to where Code Pink was obstructing traffic and taunting us to grab their banner. Security was on him quickly, but kindly, and to their credit they called him sir and were gentle in ushering him back to our side. I can only imagine how hard it is for that soldier, and countless others who went through so much, only to see this new generation turn on America and want to give up all of our freedoms to communism, and the terrorist threats we face.
There are those however, who appreciate the freedoms they have, and they know that freedom is not free.
I was in shock at the number of radicals who would eventually flood the street calling not just for the end to the war, or even the impeachment of the president, but fo
r "one world under red" by those carrying communist banners. Others carried anarchist banners.
Others still wore scarves over their faces to hide their identities. Through it all, we kept our flags and spirits high, as we all tried to get through to them in our own way with a bit of reason- that we must not give up, or we are doomed to fighting an islamic insurgency here.We gave peace a chance, but there is no peace possible with a people who believe they will be rewarded for lying to us and breaking treaties, cheating us, stealing from us, and killing us. There is no golden rule in their ideology that applies to Americans who are not muslims.
It saddened me to see children manipulated and brainwashed into thinking that peace could be so simply attained against an enemy who, if given the chance, would butcher our children, much as they did the children in Beslan, but I called out over the hatred, called till my voice was hoarse, asking them to read the truth about "the religion of peace." I hope someone was listening.
I know I may have at least gotten through to a member of the press. Angela Starke, with ABC 7 News was there covering the event. She had no idea there was to be a counter-protest by the Gathering of Eagles. Some vets were asking her why we got no coverage in the news and she kept saying she didn't know because nobody told her. She said that there are over 200 people in the newsroom, and if someone takes a call and doesn't care, that's not her fault. It's sad to think that reporters don't do much digging, and only run with what they're given, but she explained she's kept very busy covering murders and other stories- so I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. I asked her if she knew about the protest in Brussels and what happened there- she did not know... I told her the story, and I told her of Beslan, and what was done there, and of the Perfect Day scenario- and gave her addresses to this blog, Gates of Vienna, and www.thereligionofpeace.com She pledged to do some research on radical islam and promised she would make herself available- going so far as to provide me with her personal contact information in the event I became aware of anything that needed covered. I hope and pray she investigates and uncovers the truth that so many veterans and analysts have, and I hope and pray she spreads it to the masses so that we can be united as a nation in the face of what can only be called evil.
People came from all over the country, (many as part of a 4636 mile caravan) and even outside the country, to show their support for the troops. If you weren't there, please try to make it next time. As long as there are those who would deface our monuments, as long as there are those who would march to see America fall to tyranny, there will be eagles watching and waiting.

There IS hope for security- from a Democrat! -or- Congress does something Right!
A bipartisan majority voted 74-24 tonight (Sept 11) to pass an amendment offered by Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., to remove funding from the Fiscal Year 2008 Department of Transportation appropriations bill for the Department of Transportation Mexican trucking demonstration project.
All I can say is I'm very proud of this moment. We finally see something meaningful from Congress! They just saved the lives of thousands!
Bottom Line: No trucks hauling illegals, terrorists, drugs, weapons, and who knows what into our country!

After 9/11 I never thought...

The people of Germany would forget and cave to another threat like Nazism.

Terrorists and traitors would hold a victory parade around ground zero celebrating the death of innocents.

That on a September 11th of all days, a mere 6 years later, would peaceful protesters be beaten for protesting terrorist expansion into free countries.
I never thought...
I would see free people and representatives willing to give up in the face of tyranny.

Terrorist camps would be allowed to exist on U.S. soil.
I never thought...
Our borders would be left open for illegals, drug-runners, and terrorists to flood across.

The government would endanger security by encouraging border crossings by unregulated (regulated by Mexico) Mexican trucks carrying who knows what.
They would be allowed to open a school in the very city they attacked... much less tax exempt status and radical schools throughout the country.

The government would fund security for radical mosques.

A U.S. president would stand in a radical mosque (multiple times) not wearing combat boots and shouting for surrender, but wearing socks and spouting platitudes.

Why are we stuck lamenting how nothing has been done by our government while the enemy parades in our streets? People overseas are beaten for demonstrating in the name of freedom on the anniversary of the day WE were attacked and most of us do nothing but cringe in fear of another attack.

Our founding fathers must be rolling in their graves to see us still living in fear of the same threats they worked to squash so long ago! Media Candidates, Voting, the Future of America!
To fully win freedom and peace we must expel the enemies within our country- that means voting in the right people who will actually do the job... not just voting for someone the media makes look popular- beware!
Look at the background of all the candidates. Continue to ignore what the media is selling. We don't buy their propaganda, so why should we buy the candidates (of either party) they keep pushing? We are the people with the power to determine who gets elected- NOT THEM, so don't just side with the glamorous candidate because you want to be a winner in the eyes of the media or you will be in no better position than the blind and deaf sheep we keep trying to warn of the obvious doom that awaits as a result of trading morality and justice to embrace some politically correct vision for America.
If we stand firm for our principals and are not swayed by the media, we really have a chance! Why not Tancredo? Why not someone who stands firm and will do more than spout platitudes? Why not someone with a clear history and strong convictions? Why be duped by the media with propaganda and a fake popularity contest? Mr. Popular is not going to be Mr. Right when it comes to accomplishing the multiple controversial, risky, and unpopular tasks done that need done to save this country.
Jokes, media soundbites, superficial talk-shows and celebrity followers are not key indicators of the great president we need- if anything they indicate who we should avoid at all costs! Why not pick the sensible candidate the media is purposefully shunning??? You know... the same media that we complain about every day for their lies, propaganda, endangering our troops, leftist bias, attacks on morality, justice, freedom, education, common sense and decency? Why buy a media candidate?
Wouldn't you rather poke the media in the eye and vote for the person you know will do what it takes to save America? If the future and freedom of America really is at stake as many of us keep saying, then we should avoid gambling on any and all of the wolves in sheeps clothing they keep pushing on us!
Personally I'd much rather place my trust and the future of this country in the people purposefully being shunned by the people and their mega-companies who control the media...

Revealing Riots Over Cartoons, 9-11 anniversary

The formatting can be hard to swallow, but the points really hit home.
It must be true that their "religion" and faith really is so weak if they need to constantly riot and attempt to crush others in a vain attempt to validate it and their disgusting behavior, and bolster themselves. That's a textbook psychological problem. The truths are self-evident; their religion of peace isn't.
We few (the majority actually) know this deep down and all facts shout this truth, yet our press serves them time and again by spreading sugar-coated lies and misdirecting the people of our nation. This will continue until either there is a revolt against the status quo, or the loud minority of bleating sheep continues to steer this country to its destruction and we reach the sad destination of tyranny and oppression that the followers of islam long for.
Their belief system that espouses hate, lies, torture, and is totally at odds with the golden rule can never be validated no matter how many are murdered in its name. No loving God would ever decree such filth. The koran is blasphemous for daring to proclaim hate in the name of the God of the Universe, who is really a God of Love and wants us to love him AND our neighbor.
He tells us to live at peace as much as we are able. Unfortunately, we are not able, and can never be able, to live at peace with people bent on our destruction.
Certainly, if we are so bad, where are OUR riots? Are the majority of Christians calling for oppression and hate? Do we congregate waving banners calling for the death of an "artist?" No, we want peace, are sane enough not to be rioting and calling for blood over some sketches... We are civilized, but we understand that peace and freedom from the violence of islam and tyranny comes with a price, and know that price must be paid, and there will be bloodshed as the islamic tyrants won't stop without it, but we do not revel in the cooking or beheading of children.
Whenever there are civilian casualties inflicted on the population of an enemy state, there is sadness. However, we know that we are still fighting for an eventual peace that will save more lives in the long run, so we must not stop... The enemy on the other hand actively enjoys, celebrates, and dances in the streets when our non-combatants are killed. In fact, non-combatants remain the primary target of the enemy. That was their first target nearly 6 years ago on 9-11. Civilians have ALWAYS been their main target because they are the easier prey.
They are cowards for rioting over cartoons, they are cowards for delighting in the slaughter of innocents, and we must not forget- no matter how much time passes.

North Carolina Joins North American Union?
I'm back from my vacation and ready to jump back into the fray!
Apparently the DMV in North Carolina is slapping a NAU logo on all their licenses.
They are the first state to officially join the movement to create a standard and individually unique ID system that can be used throughout the continent.
It makes quite a bit of sense to put a single identification mark to verify that a license is indeed valid throughout the country- as you can't possibly keep track of all the licenses and other official IDs from each state and if you saw one from a different state you'd have no real way of telling if it is fake. If there was just a hologram of the United States, I could understand, but when you start including other countries I get worried. When you involve the DMV, my confidence in the issue plummets about as fast as the congressional approval level- maybe even faster! Heck, at least the politicians smile when they set in motion things that are bound to ruin the day. I'd have thought it's just paranoia, but combined with everything else going on, and given that they say the long term plan is to have a license valid throughout North America, I can't say the worries are without merit.
I don't want our resources going to give an unamerican lawbreaker alien a license. If we have the resources to take their photo for an ID, we certainly have the resources to grab them and kick them out! They have no business in America if they just want to recreate the country they fled.
A simple US hologram on an ID to verify that it is valid in our own country is one thing, but a NAU ID forced on lawful citizens should not be tolerated. No proclamation can ever legitimize such an action, and nothing anyone says will ever legitimize the presense of those here against the law, who keep increasing crime through rape, murder, gang violence, and driving under the influence time and time again until they kill someone!
I hope the people of North Carolina will stand up for their rights, and the rights of all Americans in throwing off this obscene NAU ID/tracking device.
