Evil Won't Go Away, Even if We Do...(and some Bible quotes) Long post, read anyway. ;-P
Sorry for the long post, but I hope you'll read all of it. :-) If you agree with what I say, or not- that's fine. What matters is that I remain free to say it, and as long as I am free to do so, I will.
Leaving Iraq won't bring peace. It won't make the terrorists stop- no matter what they say or promise- we recently saw that when Israel released terrorists who promised to stop.

Why do people keep falling for the multiple kisses of islam? They stab us in the back, sign a treaty, and repeat the process. Their koran calls for it.
Leaving will only appease them and the hateful leftists who blindly ignore what the terrorists do. The same people calling for "hate crimes" laws are the ones who want us to abandon people to hate, and a fate worse than most of us here in the U.S. can imagine. They seek to undermine what progress we have made in spite of them. If they can get us to fail, they can say "I told you so." That's all they care about. Know that if people die and fall slave to islam, it is because of them.
People of both political parties have lost sight of what it is about. It is about doing our best to try to keep more of this from happening:

Just as police don't necessarily prevent crime, we can't always stop these crimes against humanity from taking place... but think of how many more would suffer without police. Think of how many more crimes would be committed against the defenseless without our presence in the middle east. I know that's why our troops are there. I know that's why they spend day after day fighting against evil. They want to give children hope for a better future.
Whatever your political thoughts or feelings, this is about fighting hate. It means troops putting their lives on the line, at war, providing swift justice at gunpoint to the radicals all over the world who destroy freedom, families, lives, and spread hate throughout the world in the name of their politically motivated so-called religion.
It's ok to be angry. It's ok to hate the actions (sins) of those who follow the brutal teachings of islam... but do not hate the enemy despite the vile things they do. My advice for all is to fight honorably against the tyrants so nobody can honestly speak evil of you. They will lie anyway, but you will know in your heart you are doing good.
Again, The Religion of Peace keeps track of the numbers. Islam kills more than any other hate group in history. People are quick to point to those who have done bad things in the name of Christianity- but the simple fact is Jesus taught us to live at peace with others as much as we are able. He taught us to love God and our neighbors. People who have done bad things in the name of Christianity are NOT following the teachings of Jesus.
Islam however teaches death, lies, abuse, and murder- ie: terrorism. Those who do bad things in the name of islam ARE following their religion. Following the teachings of Islam is following hate.

Just as a person who rejects Christ is not a true Christian. Sadly, those who reject the violent teachings of islam do so quietly or risk death. Those who reject Christ risk nothing in this world, and are in fact encouraged more often than not...
Why are some people so quick to defend the hateful teachings and followers of islam, yet the same people are so quick to want to punish anything outside islam that might remotely be considered an act of hate- even if that supposed act of hate is to spread truth and try to fight against hate? The only options are that they are either blinded and misled, or they are aware they are supporting terrorists. Either way, they are dangerous to freedom and instruments of evil. Yes evil. Could anything less pour gasoline on a child and light him on fire? Could anything less than evil defend the teachings that condone that sort of behavior?
Christians should live at peace as much as we are able. We can not live at peace with islamists bent on destruction. That is why the Jews of the old testament fought so hard for so long- why they are still fighting! That is why we must not cave to islam. We must fight evil.
Islam is the ultimate "hate crime." If we are to follow the laws of the land, and if we truly want peace, we must fight and expel terrorists and those preaching our destruction.

Also if we are to follow the law we must not harbor illegals- for if they are breaking the law, harboring them is breaking the law. To put it simply: breaking the law is wrong. Harboring criminals is wrong.
Why do people harbor illegals? Why is trying to deport lawbreakers considered hateful? Yet breaking the law is not? Why not consider breaking into our country and increasing crime and violence hateful? Yet time and time again, even after breaking laws, the illegals are released to break more laws because people are scared of being labeled hateful by enforcing laws? There are those who call this good work hate, and they work towards your imprisonment or death- but those are the ones spouting the real hate and would usher in the destruction of this nation with a blissful smile on their face- claiming to usher in peace. They brag about the law and break it.
Romans 2:23 "You who brag about the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? 24As it is written: "God's name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you."
It is our duty as loyal citizens and soldiers to fight injustice, to renounce the hate that is islam, to renounce the lies fed to us by the mainstream media- and to work to expel illegals and terrorists who sneak into our country. Ignoring the problems and withdrawing does not fix the problems- such laziness does not bring peace. It only encourages hate to grow and fester and eventually overwhelm you while you are not paying attention.
There is no room for trying to be politically correct. Not being politically correct does not mean that you are hateful- it means you are taking a stand against hate by being truthful. People still fail to see we are at war with an evil ideology, a political ideology, a so-called religion, and that the seeds of war have already been planted on our own soil- we must continue to fight out of love for the preservation of freedom and life, not hate. Whether you are writing your representatives, spreading truth and under-reported news on your blog, or a soldier trying to bring hope and freedom, you are doing the right thing and doing everything you can to keep that war from growing here.
Romans 12:18"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." That does not mean submit to atrocities. It is not possible to live at peace with people who seek to torture, murder, suppress, and destroy.
There are people who stand against doing good. They stand against fighting evil.
Romans 1 29-32: 29 "They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."
Why do we face such hate from islam and those who make excuses for it? Why do so many who hate filled people around the world target us?

Reply From Sen Warner (R???-Va) on Hate Crimes!!!
First, let me state that a crime is a crime, regardless of the motivation. Providing EXTRA punishment to someone for a crime "motivated" based on race, color, religion, or national origin removes the "equal protection" under the law from everyone else not falling into whichever category is most popular to protect at the moment. This spells the unraveling of everything precious remaining in our legal system and rule of law. We see "hate crimes" day in and day out committed against Americans, yet who benefits? Who is truly punished? America! We The People ARE the people. A brutal murder against one of us is no better or worse than one against any of us. Why make a law that leads down such a slippery slope? It's easy to say something is a "hate crime." Is this blog going to be considered a hate crime because it points out the hatefulness of the fundamentals of a certain "religion?"

Where is the government to protect US? Too busy taking away our rights and freedoms, making us easy prey for ANYONE (regardless of their national origin or religion) who wants to do us harm.

Thank you for contacting me to share your thoughts on hate crimes legislation. I appreciate your inquiry on this matter.
Current federal law prohibits willfully injuring, intimidating or interfering with any person because of the person's race, color, religion, or national origin. However, this federal protection only applies when a person is engaged in one of six federally protected activities. These protected activities include: (1) enrolling in or attending a public school; (2) participating in a program administered by a state; (3) applying for or being employed; (4) serving as a juror in any state court; (5) traveling in or using a facility of interstate commerce; and (6) enjoying the goods, services, and accommodations of any inn, motel, or hotel, any restaurant, any gasoline station, theater, sports arena or other facility.
With respect to hate crimes legislation proposed in the United States Senate, on April 12, 2007, Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA) and Senator Gordon Smith (R-OR) introduced the Matthew Shepard Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act (S.1105). Subsequent to its introduction, S.1105 was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee. This legislation would expand current federal law by making it a federal crime to willfully cause bodily injury to any person because of the victim’s actual or perceived race, color, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability without regard to the six existing federally protected activities in current law.
After examining similar legislation extensively for several years, after listening to law enforcement officials and citizens all across Virginia, and after a horrific hate crime shooting spree in Roanoke, Virginia, which left Danny Overstreet dead and six others wounded, I voted in support of legislation called the Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Act when it was offered as an amendment to the FY2005 Defense Authorization Act (S.2400) in 2004. While this amendment was considered by the full Senate and agreed to by a vote of 65 to 33, the FY2005 Defense Authorization Act did not include the amendment when it was signed into law by the President (P. L. 108-375).
First, the Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Act would have expanded federal hate crimes jurisdiction by making it a federal crime to willfully cause bodily injury to any person because of the victim’s actual or perceived race, color, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability without regard to the six existing federally protected activities in current law. However, under the amendment, federal law enforcement officials could not take over the investigation or prosecution of hate crimes unless: the state lacked the authority to prosecute; the state requested the federal government’s assistance or involvement; or the state’s verdict or sentence did not fulfill the federal interest in eradicating bias-motivated violence.
Second, because the investigation and prosecution of hate crimes can be extraordinarily costly, the Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Act would have authorized grants to local and state governments to assist them in the investigation and prosecution of hate crimes. Finally, for cases in which local law enforcement officials request additional assistance, the amendment would have authorized federal law enforcement officials to provide technical, forensic, and prosecutorial assistance in the investigation and prosecution of hate crimes.
In my view, the Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Act would have helped ensure that local, state, and federal law enforcement had the resources necessary to prosecute the perpetrators of these particularly heinous crimes to the fullest extent of the law. And, not only would the amendment have sent a strong federal message that these types of crimes would not be tolerated, it would have helped close the gaps in our legal system that sometimes make the investigation and prosecution of these crimes even more difficult.
On May 3, 2007, the House of Representatives passed its version of the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act (H.R.1592) by a vote of 237 to 180. Additional legislation, the David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007 (H.R.254), remains under consideration in the House of Representatives. H.R.254 would amend the federal criminal code to set penalties for willfully causing bodily injury, or attempting to cause such injury, because of the actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or disability of any person, where the offense is in or affects interstate or foreign commerce.

Those bullets are OBVIOUSLY unfired. Did someone throw the bullets at the old lady's house? When you fire a bullet, the gun ejects the casing (aka brass). FINALLY got to bring home my new gun!

That explains why the DMV is always crowded with NOBODY speaking English!

After much waiting (hours) at the DMV Monday, where my wife and I appeared to be among the few native english language speakers- including the employees, on top of people being slid in front of me in line and a convenient mishap with the ID card machine breaking right after my photo (insert joke here), but somehow still spitting out everyone else's licenses, I FINALLY got my address updated so I could meet the imposed requirements at the gun shop.
I can not understand why government offices don't hire people who speak clear english for positions that must interface with citizens. An accent doesn't bother me- I'm usually pretty good at making out what someone is saying and am very patient and very appreciative of those learning english. The frustration kicks in when a person at a help-desk (of all places) does not have a fundamental grasp of the language and can not answer your questions, then blows up at you when you politely say you do not understand and ask them if they could please explain something again to make sure you understand. They have no problem talking at length to the hundred other people in spanish, but if you try to take up more than 10 seconds of their time to try in vain get a straight answer in english, the clerk snaps at you to just take the form and go (even if it is the wrong form sometimes) and everyone else glares at you.
I can not possibly begin to convey all the inconvenience, rudeness, intentional misdirection, etc. one can experience at a DMV, so if you haven't been in a while, just go and sit there a couple hours. You don't even need to take a number- why bother? They are just going to send you home for a different piece of paper only to have a different teller say that you didn't need it when you come back another day and speak to someone else. Just go and bask in the hostility. It's as if you are an unwelcome invader in your own country!

The hassles were immediately forgotten as I finally held my new "toy" aka "freedom defending implement" aka Kel-Tec PLR-16! I rushed home and immediately took it apart and put it back together (no spare parts=good) and installed the forend that had already arrived. The 40rnd mags from Cheaper Than Dirt fit like a charm. :-)
My sling came in Tuesday- now I'm just waiting for the wicked looking muzzle break/flash suppressor, which should arrive today... I'll eventually order a tactical scope (it is a "long-range" pistol after all)- I want something cheap and reliable (usually an oxymoron since you get what you pay for, but there are always good deals for the patient).
There's one more "accessory" but since it's unusual for this gun and may not even fit, I'll not talk about it until I can make sure- which may take a couple months to acquire (ie-cough up the money for) and try to make it fit... when I feel like I've got everything, I'll have to post a pic to show it off!
Can't wait to hit the range though!

My Right to Bear Arms Infringed in Virginia
If you may recall I recently purchased a Kel-Tec PLR-16 as a freedom implementing device to protect the homeland. I went to pick up my firearm and was told that I could not since the apartment number on my drivers license had not yet been updated since I recently moved WITHIN THE SAME BUILDING, (so my street address is the same)!
I served my country. I offered proof that I was a US citizen and had the right to bear arms. I had already paid for the gun!
They told me that they could not do the paperwork without the address matching and I would have to submit a change of address through the DMV. What does the DMV have to do with my right to bear arms??? The only thing necessary should be proof of US citizenship- and enough info to do a simple background check- guess what, they would just need a name and Social because your address can change it has nothing to do with investigating your criminal record... Though my government ID should have been sufficient to verify that I had a security clearance.
They refused to give me my gun until I met the requirement of updating my address. Not wanting to make a scene, and since it's not really their fault- they explained that they could get in trouble for my apartment number not matching, I agreed to go through the process of changing the apartment number on my license...

No parent should have let this happen. The driver of the vehicle needs shot, as does anyone in the crowd not trying to do whatever it takes to stop this atrocity. 2nd Amendment Article and rant

As I said in my comment in my last post, any laws limiting the 2nd amendment are illegal.
The author did fail to address the comma in the amendment that meanst that establishes a separate and complete thought- that "the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" but even generally speaking he makes an argument for an individual to be able to keep and bear arms so good for him.
Laws such as those in NJ that require you to keep your weapon locked in your trunk in a separate container from your ammo, or those that require you to first acquire a license of some form to buy ammo, or limit the amount you can buy, all by definition infringe. Infringement of any form is unconstitutional, and thus ultimately illegal- that is not stopping the laws from being on the books, so where then is the federal government coming to the rescue of citizens as it should? The one thing the federal government is supposed to do above all else is protect our Constitutional rights.
Instead, when federal judges DO bother to get involved it is to legislate from the bench and attack those local mayors who care enough to protect citizens by enforcing federal laws. The system is being run backwards and protecting lawbreakers and illegals, not citizens... and is restricting our rights.
Look at all the so-called hate crimes cases that will ultimately make the average non-hyphenated citizen the easiest target. In the event a criminal is charged for a crime, they won't have to worry about a hate crime. So much for equal protection under the law.

Adventure at the Range- or What Gun I Recommend You Buy If You Are Not A "Gun Person"
We went to the range yesterday and rented a 9mm Taurus 24/7 for an hour.
My wife had NEVER fired a handgun before then. She consistently hit the silhouette target at different ranges, managing to land many head shots and body shots, proving once and for all that the hardest thing about shooting is actually driving to the range (that and coughing up the money).
The Taurus 24/7 we rented had a 17 round capacity, was easy to point and shoot, was accurate enough to make head shots, and more than good enough for standard torso shots where the average shooter will be aiming. The downside to me was a slightly heavier trigger pull than what I would desire for accurate target shooting- that you either over or under-compensate for... but that wouldn't stop you from hitting what you are aimed at and actually makes this a great defensive weapon (more to follow)!
What makes this a good gun for new or non-gun people?
The slide is very easy to pull. If you want to fire your gun you do not want to struggle with the slide.
The "heavier" trigger pull- If you are not a "gun person," and even if you are, this is actually a GOOD thing for defense when your pulse is racing and you are revved up (if not nailing the head of a pin at 30 ft without a scope). It means you have to make a conscious effort to pull the trigger. You do not want a hair trigger that will discharge the weapon the moment you put your finger on it under stressful conditions- something I had to keep reminding my wife not to do until she was ABSOLUTELY ready to shoot.
Let me say that again, do not put your finger on the trigger of any gun until you are absolutely ready to shoot!
The high capacity magazine means more time shooting, less time reloading.
Much of the Taurus line comes with a great and potentially life saving feature that will convert the gun from single action to double action in the event of a "fail to fire" and will clear the chamber by you just pulling the trigger. This means if you are shooting your weapon (for whatever reason) and it stops shooting you can just pull the trigger again and it should discharge the weapon (unless of course you are out of ammo, then pulling the trigger will leave you with only a sad little "click" noise). ;-P
The slit rubber blade grip ensures the gun fits and stays in your hand (well unless you purposefully let go).
At around $400 it is definitely a good buy for a solid gun. You don't have to take my word for it- just look up other reviews or head to the range and rent one!
Remember to keep your weapon pointed down range or a safe direction and unload it when walking to and from the range.
Some people argue for a revolver as a first gun or as a carry weapon, and I won't argue with their logic, but for those who want a semi-auto that is affordable and reliable 24/7, a Taurus 24/7 is a very good choice. I'm looking forward to the release of the 24/7 OSS in the near future.

The book looks like it will be an informative guide to taking action to set things right. I won't go so far as to recommend it yet as I have not read it, but for a dollar I figure it's a good deal. The reviews say that it tells you how to get involved and influence things on ALL levels.
If you are like me and wondering how to get some positive changes made, but have been struggling to get off the ground because you don't know where to start, this looks like it will be a great buy!

We MUST target so called holy sites to deter them!

You either have the stomach for what is coming or you do not. Do not pretend to be for freedom, then against standing up for it. I don't know what sort of watered down-milk-toasty vision you have of the founding fathers, but they certainly were not some PC pushovers who catered to the whims of tyrants. I love a good cliche, so you're either with us or you're against us- for in the long run, if we do not face the source of our problems, then we face destruction.

I am shocked at the number of people who forget what needs to be done to defeat an enemy as dedicated as the islamofascists. Remember Japan? They thought the emperor was a god and would carry out suicide attacks. The only thing that stopped them was overwhelming decisive force to put a stop to the bloodshed and save more lives in the long run. Their military leaders thanked us for stopping the bloodshed that would have cost more lives than those taken by the nukes. I doubt we will get such a thanks from the islamic community, but we have even more to gain.
Islam is a cult- their "holy" book advocates the destruction of us. What do you do to stop a schoolyard bully? If you keep running away, they will follow you. You have to punch them in the nose. Islam is the worst schoolyard bully this world has ever faced, and it needs put in its place. The fanatics will never back down. They believe that anything outside the quran is a lie, and that every non-muslim is guilty. There is no PC religion of peace. There is no arguing with the facts.
Anything less than total commitment to crush the enemy will result in them gaining the upper hand- which they already have because we have been too cowardly as a nation to stand up against them! I speak not of the brave men and women in uniform fighting to preserve our freedom, but of this nation's and the world's cowardly willingness to sacrifice our hard earned freedoms to accommodate those who see us as beneath them. To let them continue to hide behind the term "religion." To use it against us, every step of the way.
Targeting so-called holy sites is not stooping to their level, it is dealing with the source of the problem. Targeting mecca will put them in check.
You need to stop thinking of it as a religion in the "western" sense of the word. Mosques are the wrongly protected platforms from which they spew hatred.
Calling a mosque a holy site is merely affording terrorists unfair protection under our laws. We are at war with their ideology that wants to destroy us. If we were to bomb mecca and destroy their holy sites, it would be a wake-up call to the muslims, just as the nukes on Japan were a wake-up call to the people to stop worshiping the emperor. We have got to stop being afraid to use overwhelming and decisive force, or they will plague us like an infestation that won't go away until we are all wiped from the earth- just as they plan!
The only thing we can do is prove without a doubt that they are wrong. Get a spine. Support Tancredo.
If we are not in this to win we will never be free of the threat, and they will just keep attacking until freedom falls and the earth becomes covered by a dark blanket of tyranny, slavery to islam, and violence.

Sure, it's a bit big for a handgun, but then again, who doesn't have a friend with an oversized revolver somewhere in their collection? Difference is, I won't be reloading every few shots, and mine looks like a ray gun. :-P
Speaking of revolvers, next on the wishlist is the Taurus Judge a powerful little holdout revolver that can shoot .45 AND .410 shotgun shells. Over the top? NAAAAH. not for me. :) Nice demo on the Taurus site btw. Kabloooy goes the target.

Avoid Panic, BE PREPARED for disasters/attacks!
We have gotten warning after warning- something we did not get throughout the media on 9-11. We have no excuse not to be as prepared as possible!
The government trains employees on what to do and issues "emergency masks" that are next to worthless, but better than nothing. What prep or protection does the general population have??? Less than nothing, as the media only promotes more ignorance of the real threats and will thus be caught unaware in the event of an attack
Read my post on Go Bags and/or put together a "survivor" kit.
Keep it under your desk at work if you are in a building that would get "locked down" in the event of an attack, or at least in the trunk of your car. Take it home with you every day or wherever you spend the other 2/3 of your time. Remember, the farther away your gear, the less good it can do you when you need it to save your bacon!
Keep your car gassed up, and keep plenty of water in jugs, bottles, or a waterbob. After it sits for a while, you may want to rotate your stock. Water your plants or something with the old stuff so you don't waste it.
"We are all in this together," (nice cliche) but you can only rely on yourself (and the kindness of strangers)- not the government- to provide for your immediate needs in the middle of a crisis.
Sure an attack may happen at any time, but what good does knowing that do unless you take action to prepare for it so you can live to fight back?!?! Failure to take personal action to prepare and protect yourself is irresponsible and can result in the death of yourself and loved ones.
I pray we never have to use our gear, but that if we are attacked, we are all as prepared as possible.

You can not possibly be 6 hours backed up. If so, then either the simple task of checking "approve" is overwhelming you or there really are so many (defeatist socialists wanting to bash Christians and surrender to fundamental islam in the name of multiculturalism) posting to back up your site so much, meaning that we are already doomed as a free nation.

For a group of people who are supposedly open minded and accepting of other cultures, you certainly fling a lot of hatred towards those who are usually on the front lines defending your rights to speak freely, even at their expense. The hypocrisy is frightening!
You probably have no problem with someone burning a flag or a Bible, and consider a sculpture of Jesus made of dung art, but quake with rage if someone shows an ounce of disrespect for the quran in a showing of free speech. I dare not freely criticise islam for fear of being accused of "hate speech" no matter what the Constitution says about my speech being protected. I guess those celebrating 9-11 and chanting for the death of America are only resentful of arrogance after all! No matter that they incite violence and terror...
